Remember the famous "Bass-O-Matic" Ludington Pump Storage Project? When I worked there (early 1970s) the water would turn silver with the fish churning chum out of the turbines especially during the smelt runs in the spring. Chinooks and sturgeon would also come out in chunks. Still I remember the one incident of the chinook that was tagged and released in the holding storage basin. It survived going through the turbines and was caught at the Little Manistee weir the next day.
