E-M:/ Is Pastor's Biz Blowing Off DEQ?

Enviro-Mich message from Andrew Mutch <andrewimutch@yahoo.com>

This is just a tease from MIRS as posted on the
Michigan Chamber of Commerce's website:

"According to Department of Environmental Quality
(DEQ) records obtained early this week, Rep. John
PASTOR (R-Livonia) and his brother haven't submitted
quarterly soil erosion reports for two developments
since 2002."

As many of you know, Pastor has been leading the
charge to gut the DEQ's budget. He's also known
locally in the Novi/Northville area as the developer
who bullied the DEQ into approving the destruction of
a wetland complex at the 8 Mile/I-275 interchange in
order to build a strip mall over the objections of
Northville Township.

Hopefully, someone can fill in some of the details
here to let us all know why Rep. Pastor believes he
doesn't have to follow the law.
