Hummingbird Festival
Saturday, Aug. 28		10 AM – 5 PM
Fee:  $5/adult, $3/student

Calling all hummingbird enthusiasts!  Come out to Blandford Nature Center to 
learn more about those jewels of the sky…hummingbirds.  This festival is 
filled with educational and fun activities.  Learn more about hummingbirds 
by watching live hummingbirds being banded! Or enjoy a program on gardening 
for hummingbirds with an option to purchase native plants to take home and 
get started.  Kids will have a great time on one of the hummingbird hikes or 
the crafts and games for kids.  Wildbirds Unlimited will do demonstrations 
on how to attract and feed hummingbirds in your yard.

All that Glitters:
A World Survey of Hummingbird Diversity
Saturday, Aug. 28		7 PM- 8 PM
Fee:  $2/adult, $1/student, festival attendees are free

In the evening, Grand Rapids Audubon will be sponsoring All that Glitters:  
A World Survey on Hummingbird Diversity, a presentation on the different 
types of hummingbirds found in the world.  This presentation, by Allen 
Chartier founder of Michigan Hummernet, will feature beautiful images of the 
some of the most beautiful animals in the world.
