DEQ's Environmental Science & Services Division offers high-quality
workshops and training throughout the year to help industry,
consultants, citizens, environmental groups, and others understand
various air quality permits. 

Permit to Install Workshops
A permit to install (PTI) is required prior to installing or changing a
non-exempt source of air pollution such as paint or coating application
booths, storage tanks, printing presses, boilers, plating operations,
degreasers, and ovens. Registration fee: $50. Find out what triggers the
need for an air permit and how to fill out the applications at any of
the following locations:

10/21/04		MTEC Center, Gaylord
11/10/04		Constitution Hall, Lansing

Renewable Operating Permit Workshops
Renewable Operating Permits (ROP) need to be renewed every five years.
Learn how to use Permit Application Submittal Software (PASS) to
complete and submit application forms, and learn about compliance
certification, deviation reporting requirements, and permit revision
requirements.  Registration fee: $50. Training will be conducted using
computers at each of the following locations:
