50,000 Michiganders Send Labor Day
Holiday Message to President Bush:
Your Great Lakes Policies: 'No Day at the Beach’
 U.S.Senator Debbie Stabenow To Accept Postcards At Thursday Event

 At 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, as Michiganders prepare for the end-of-summer Labor Day holiday, Clean Water Action will deliver nearly 50,000 personally signed postcards from supporters in 26 Michigan counties to U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow. The postcards ask Stabenow to send a strong message to the Bush administration that weaker Clean Water Act laws and Great Lakes funding cuts are unacceptable and allow more sewage into our lakes and rivers.

                         (North of 17 Mile Rd on the west side of Mound)

                        **Note:  There is an unrelated rally that starts at 7pm.  The Clean Water Action presentation will be held in a separate room from the rally.  
                          Look for the Clean Water Action signs.

Macomb ( 3,404 ), Oakland (12,826), Wayne (10,165), Kent  (3,775), Washtenaw (3,058), Ottawa (2,353), Livingston (1,737), Ingham (1,562), Calhoun (1,572)                                     and Kalamazoo (1,359).
