E-M:/ Uncle Sam may not want us looking at Satellite Images

A web site called 'defensetech' says the U.S.Government wants to 
'exempt satellite images' from the Freedom Of Information Act. 
Apparently the exemption being proposed would apply to government 
satellite images but also ANY commercial satellite images the 
government buys...AND any product that comes from that data. (This 
proposal has already passed the Senate and is awaiting resolution by 
a Senate/House conference committee later this month.) Sounds like 
this would include maps, reports, news footage and so on. Would this 
prevent us from seeing images of pollution or oil spills in the Great
