Next week MSU concludes its semester long speaker series on Green Building Design with three informative and leading building design experts.

Monday, November 15 at 4:00pm in 225 Natural Resources Building, Dr. Greg Keoleian, Co-Director of the Center for Sustainable Systems at the University of Michigan and a leading researcher in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) will discuss "The Greening of Dana and Sustainable Building Research". UM's Dana Natural Resources Building was recently renovated in partnership with noted architect William McDonough. Dr. Keoleian will also be sharing his research on LCA of LEED standards.

Tuesday, November 16 at 4:00pm in 1235 Anthony Hall, Dave Rinard, Environmental Manager for Steelcase, will discuss their efforts to design and operate LEED certified buildings at several locations.

Wednesday, November, 17 at 7:30pm in the Kellogg Center Auditorium, Sim Van der Ryn, noted designer, architect, planner, and architect will discuss "Design for Life: Making the Ecological U-Turn". Sim is a pioneer ecological designer. A 1996 award from the American Institute of Architects, says it all: 

"In recognition of your countless contributions to the built and natural environments through the integration of design, education and research. Throughout your career as a visionary architect, teacher, and writer, you have paved the way for positive change... A leader and pioneer of energy efficient and sustainable design, your bold initiation... has established a proven and imperative direction for the architectural profession."	

All talks are free and open to the public
