Join us for a dinner presentation and discussion with Shepherd Ogden.
In 1983 Ogden founded Cooks Garden, the first US company to offer an extensive list of professionally produced, certified organic commercial varieties of seed. He was very active in the early years of the organic movement in Vermont and The Intervale, a 1200 acre agriculture district in Burlington, Vermont. He has authored numerous books including - The Cooks Garden, Step by Step Organic Vegetable Gardening and Step by Step Organic Flower Gardening. He is currently managing the development of Rodale Institutes new on-line organic training program http://www.newfarm.org. He also has a new book coming out. Proceeds go to the Michigan Organic Food and Farm Alliance (MOFFA) and WMEAC's project, the Greater Grand Rapids Food Systems Council, to help continue work toward a more sustainable food system in west Michigan.

Dinner: 6:30-7:30 PM
Ogden's Talk: 7:45 PM

Cost: $12 individual, $20 for a couple; $8 for students or seniors; Kids 10 and under are free.
