Suburbia, and all it promises, has become the American Dream. But as we enter the 21st century, serious questions are beginning to emerge about the sustainability of this way of life. With brutal honesty and a touch of irony, The End of Suburbia workshop and video explores the American Way of Life and its prospects for the planet as global demand for fossil fuels begins to outstrip supply.  There will be presentations on Peak Oil, Alternative Transportation Solutions, Bursting the Hyrogen Bubble as well as a showing of the film "The End of Suburbia".

The presenters for this workshop are John Richter, Dominic Crea and Tim Hudson, founders of the Institute for Sustainable Energy Education (ISEE) focusing on energy awareness and outreach. The three are active members of GLREA, MREA and are working in conjuntion with the Post Carbon Institute's "Raise Energy Awareness" campaign which has made availabe the video "The End of Suburbia".
