The State of Michigan has
said "yes." Yes to a $132 million investment, yes to more than
100 new jobs and yes to revitalization at The Dow Chemical Co.'s Michigan
Operations.
The
Michigan Economic Growth Authority on Tuesday approved a big chunk of the
package of tax incentives that will make a project titled
"Daytona" possible. The move finalizes about $9.99 million in
single business tax credit. A 12-year local Industrial Facilities Tax
exemption also is in the works. Dow will request that break from Midland
City Council in upcoming weeks.
