E-M:/ Homeowners willing to sell to escape flood plain

Most victims of the Grand River flooding in Robinson Township said they are willing to sell their homes if that is what it will take to get financial relief from the federal government.

But they learned there is no guarantee they will ever receive a cent from federal coffers.

Tempers flared occasionally as about 50 residents of the township's Van Lopik and Limberlost subdivisions discussed their options during a hastily called neighborhood meeting at the Yellow Jacket Inn, 12011 Lake Michigan Drive/M-45.
