E-M:/ Legislative Committee Meeting Notices -- getting them electronically

Enviro-Mich message from "Anne Woiwode" <anne.woiwode@sierraclub.org>

Enviro-Michers: You can get notices on email of Committee meetings of all
the Committees of the Michigan House of Representatives and most or all of
the Senate Committees. Because state law only requires a 24 hour notice for
any meeting of Open Meetings Act covered Legislative Committees, sometimes
the only practical way to get notice is by email. Below is an example of
the notice from the House Natural Resources, Great Lakes, Land Use, and
Environment Committee.

To sign up for Senate Committee notices, go to:
and open "Standing Committees" or "Appropriations Subcommittees" and find
the contact person for each committee highlighted. Send a note asking to be
informed by email of the meetings.

For House Committees, go to www.house.mi.gov/Committee_Subscribe.asp which
allows you to sign up for any committee notices all on the same page.
