The Chesaning Kiwanis Club's annual farm-city dinner will focus on the state's Groundwater and surrounding Great Lakes. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Celia's Restaurant, at M-52 and M-57. Tickets cost $15.
Speakers will discuss the loss of water from the Great Lakes, the role of the state Department of Environmental Quality, Nestlé's water bottle facility in Mecosta County, use of groundwater for irrigation, and the dredging of the Saginaw River.
