Opponents claim no revenue increase
COLUMBUS - Opponents of a proposal to more than double the state fee for dumping trash at landfills argued yesterday it would not generate the revenue cash-strapped Ohio hopes.
Some haulers along Ohio's borders may instead choose the cheaper route of dumping on the other side of the state line, Mike Long, executive director of the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio, told the House Finance Committee.
