SENATE DEMS CALL 'EARTH DAY' PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE ENVIRONMENT
Environmental Groups Gather in Support of Announcement

LANSING- Michigan's leading environmental groups will be joining Sen.
Liz Brater (D-Ann Arbor) to discuss new environmental policy and to
announce a series of town halls on water quality.  The press event will
coincide with Earth Day 2005 activities and serves to underscore the
Senate Democrats' continuing commitment to improving environmental
quality in Michigan.

WHO:	Sen. Liz Brater and leaders from Michigan's largest
environmental groups, including: Michigan Environmental Council, Clean
Water Action and PIRGIM.

WHAT:  	To discuss new environmental policy and to announce a
series of town halls on water quality.  

WHERE:	Room 402-403, Michigan State Capitol Building, Lansing

WHEN:	Friday, April 22, 3:00pm
