Sunday, May 1st, Mayday Celebration & Events.
12pm-12am
No Borders Organizing and Community Center
3535 Cass Ave.
Detroit, MI

In conjunction with the grand opening of the No
Borders
Organizing and Community Center, formerly Idle Kids
Books & Records, there will be an all day Mayday
celebration to rejoice and reflect back on more than
one hundred years of revolutionary resistance and
struggle.

Mayday, the original worker and revolutionaries'
holiday, is a
day of world protest, action, and global solidarity.
This is the day all workers, collectively, can put
down their tools and rejoice in the
possibility of another world, where bosses,
exploitation, poverty,
racism, sexism, and prisons are abolished.

Highlights for the day:

?	Peter Werbe will speak on the necessity of
?permanent autonomous zones,?
?	Elena Herrada will speak on the history of Mayday
and workers struggle
?	Priscilla Dziubek of Sweetwater Alliance will talk
about water privatization and the attacks on city
worker jobs
?	Kotiw will speak about Mountain Justice Summer and
Stopping Mountain top removal mining (a campaign that
is being supported by the organizing at the space)
?	Presentations on IWW and the Wobbly Heritage,
Earth First!, Overcoming sexism and creating a world
where women are respected, Killer Coke Campaign,
Political prisoner support (Detroit ABC), Roadless
Summer campaign, Infoshop and community space
creation,
?	Plant/seed Exchange, anarchist tea, Slingshot
Self-defense, black rover/red rover, double dutch,
potluck.
?	There will be music to end the night. Bring a guitar
(or what ever instrument you play), your voice and
your songs and join in singing songs of resistance.

There will be refreshments provided, as well as a
potluck dinner at 6 pm. Come on out, bring some extra
plants, if you have some, and celebrate May Day and
the creation of a new space dedicated to the promotion
of social change.
