 Right to Farm Annual Review of GAAMPs
Meeting Temporarily Postponed

This year's GAAMPs Public Input Meeting will be held on May 4, 2005, in the Lake Superior Room of the Michigan Library and Historical Center, 702 W. Kalamazoo St., in downtown Lansing.

The following schedule will be used:

  • From 9 to 11 a.m., public comments will be taken on five of the GAAMPs - Cranberry Production; Manure Management Utilization; Nutrient Utilization; Pesticide Utilization and Pest Control; and Site Selection and Odor Control for New and Expanding Livestock Production Facilities.
  • From 11 a.m. - noon, public comments will be reserved for Care of Farm Animals and Irrigation Water Use.  These two GAAMPs have no proposed changes for 2005.

Written comments may also be submitted to MDA's Environmental Stewardship Division, P.O. Box 30017, Lansing, MI  48909, or via e-mail to bearssA@michigan.gov by 5 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2005.  All comments received by the due date will be forwarded to the various GAAMPs Task Forces for consideration prior to final review and adoption by the Commission.
