I too was impressed by the waterfowl activity at the MSU ponds until the Muskegon County Wastewater System was built. The Muskegon 11,000-acre system, 5200-acres of corn, and couple square miles of lagoons sits adjacent to the 5000-acre Muskegon State Game Area. The combination has turned Muskegon County into a major waterfowl flyway stop and rest area. The DNR has permit system hunts for the geese.
