E-M:/ Great Lakes compact primer

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enviro-Mich message from "Chris Grubb" <Grubbc@nwf.org>
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

An addendum to my earlier message, and something that will be helpful
for folks attending upcoming Great Lakes meetings:

Several groups on both sides of the border have produced a helpful
document related to the Great Lakes Basin Water Resources Compact and
Agreement called the Citizen's Primer to Protect the Great Lakes:
(http://www.sierraclub.ca/national/great-lakes/primer.html). The goal of
this Primer is to assist you in making your voice heard.

The draft agreements are complicated, but the basic issue is simple:
the waters of the Great Lakes Basin must be protected -- both in quality
and quantity -- for future generations and all species that depend upon
the Great Lakes.

NWF's mission is to inspire Americans to protect wildlife for our
children's future.
