concerned about the health of the Great Lakes
- WHAT: A task force charged by
President Bush with crafting a plan to restore and protect the Great
Lakes recently released a $20 billion clean-up plan.
- The plan tackles many of the problems that plague the Great Lakes,
from raw sewage flowing into the lakes and closing beaches to habitat
destruction and invasive species that are threatening the region?s fish
and wildlife.
- The August 1 meeting is the second in a series of six public meetings
across the Great Lakes region to get feedback from the public on the
draft action plan. Attend the meeting and learn:

in the plan and how it impacts Michigan;
· What
citizens support in the plan; and,
· What
citizens oppose in the plan.
