MINERAL AND LAND MANAGEMENT

DIRECT METALLIC MINERAL LEASES - DEVELOPMENT and DEVELOPMENT WITH RESTRICTION: Metallic mineral lease rights to 2,004.2 acres, more or less, of state-owned surface and minerals have been requested by Prime Meridian Resources, Inc. of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, located in Sections 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 14, 22 through 24 and 34 through 36, T44N, R32W, Crystal Falls Township, Iron County. PROPOSED OIL AND GAS LEASE AUCTION: Approximately 53,000 acres of state-owned mineral rights located in 21 counties are proposed to be offered at an oral auction on Dec. 6, 2005, with bidding to begin at 9 a.m. The proposed location is the Michigan Library and Historical Center at 702 West Kalamazoo Street, Lansing, Michigan. Standard lease includes a five-year term with two, one-year options to extend, 1/6 royalty rate, initial $13 per acre minimum bonus consideration and $2 per acre annual rental for the primary term.
