MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
The Annual Meeting for the Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy will be held
on Sunday, December 4, at 1:30 p.m. at the U of M-Dearborn Environmental
Interpretive Center.
The program will be:
MICHIGAN TURTLES AND AMPHIBIANS
Christopher Goulart, of Michigan Herpetology Educational Consultants, will
present a number of live native turtles and amphibians, and speak of the
importance of protecting wetland and terrestrial habitats for their survival. A
number of the species he will feature can be observed at various Conservancy
nature preserves. The program is free and open to the public. Bring your friends
and family--children are especially welcome.
Refreshments and socialization begin at 1:30; the program will begin at 2
p.m. RSVPs are appreciated to help plan for food.
U of M-Dearborn is at 4901 Evergreen Road, Dearborn 48128, immediately south
of Henry Ford Community College, and south of Ford Road. Going south on
Evergreen from Ford Road, enter at the first UM-D entrance and keep to the right.
The Environmental Interpretive Center is near the 5-story parking structure,
where you can park for free.
