below and attached opportunities for training and participation in DEQ public hearings/comment period on the proposed
sulfide mining rules being held in the
lower peninsula. There are two
workshops this Saturday Dec.
3 in Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor, and the public hearing is next Wednesday
Dec. 7th, with comments period open through Dec.
19.
Come
join us on the capital steps at high NOON on Wednesday December 7 for a Rally
and Ceremony and then a walking parade to the Lansing Center for the public
information meeting followed by the public hearing where you can state your
comments. Watch for more details on this event.
Please find the
time to participate in some way. We need individual comments and participation by just being at the
hearing even if you don't want to
speak.
Please excuse duplicate mailings, but this is a
big issue that demands attention.

the Club's official position, but we also need individual comments and
participation by just being at the hearing if you don't want to speak.
