E-M:/ Re: [o2michigan] Living Green Expo

Enviro-Mich message from Jacob Stevens Corvidae <jacob@ic.org>

Well, it's not the same scale, but here's a local Michigan event that's hoping to build a similar event. See details below.

Come celebrate Earth Day at the Michigan Healthy Living Earth Day Expo on Saturday April 22, 2006 from 10am to 8pm at the Shotwell-Gustafson Pavilion, located on the east campus of Oakland University in Rochester Hills, near I-75 and M-59. The purpose of the expo is “Making the connection between healthy products, people and planet”. It is being presented by Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center, Natural Awakenings Magazine, and Oakland University. Net proceeds will benefit local environmental education programs. See www.oakland.edu/map <http://www.oakland.edu/map> for directions.
The expo will feature dozens of exhibits and displays demonstrating: healthy and green lifestyles, integrative and environmental health, efficient and renewable energy, sustainable living, green building, healthy home and garden, organic food and farming, natural clothing and personal care, exercise and fitness, green transportation, and much more!Presentations will be offered by expert speakers, including Peter Nielsen of Peter’s Principals TV and radio show.
The expo will celebrate Earth Day with food, fun, education, and entertainment. It will feature an eco-friendly fashion show, musical entertainment, an alternative fuel/vehicles display, renewable energy equipment demonstrations, healthy organic food and snacks, an “off-green” comedy show, kids’ activities and crafts, a fun farm display, and much more! Join an estimated audience of over 2,000 visitors for this exciting and informative event.
For more information on attending or sponsoring the expo, visit www.michiganhealthylivingexpo.com <http://www.michiganhealthylivingexpo.com,>, call Upland Hills EAC at 248-693-1021, or call Natural Awakenings Magazine at 248-628-0125
