Developers owe citizens group nearly $8,500
GREILICKVILLE — The state Court of Appeals upheld $8,463 in sanctions
against developers of the Meadows housing project in Elmwood Township, perhaps
the final act in a costly lawsuit that ensnared the former township board.
The appellate court issued a decision that upheld Circuit Judge Philip Rodgers' September 2004 ruling that awarded Elmwood Citizens for Sensible Growth $8,463 from developers for part of the citizens group's legal costs to fight a long-disputed housing project along Lincoln Road in Leelanau County. |
