A *free* special screening of the new movie, HOOT

Thursday April 13, 2006,  7:30 PM
WHERE
State Theatre, 233 State Street
Ann Arbor, MI

BACKGROUND
National Wildlife Federation and Walden Media, with New Line Cinema, have teamed up to connect kids, families and educators with wildlife through the new film, HOOT.

Based on a Newbery Honor book by Carl Hiaasen, HOOT is a comic adventure story about three children who fight to save endangered burrowing owls when the owls' habitat is about to be destroyed for a construction project.

The film?s message that young people can take a stand to protect wildlife is especially relevant today as members of Congress attempt to dismantle the Endangered Species Act.
