Get Factory Farm Regulations Right

'Factory-style farms need to be seen for what they are: industrial operations. The people of Michigan have just as much interest in ensuring the animals' waste stays out of the water as they do in banning harmful manufacturing chemicals and pollutants.

So it is disappointing that House Republicans may rush a revised factory farm oversight plan through without time for much comment. This latest version is to come before a House committee today and may go directly to the floor for a vote on Wednesday.' SNIP
