Second Annual Pine River Community Cleanup Day

Saturday September 23, 2006

9AM – 2PM

Volunteers Wanted to Help Clean Up Trash in 2nd Annual Pine River Community Cleanup!

Volunteers can either canoe from 3 different locations, or volunteers can simply walk to cleanup trash from wherever we see it!

Meet at 9AM to register, get free T-Shirts, work gloves, trash bags, and Litter-Gitters.

When you’re done cleaning up, come join us from 1- 2PM at Mancino’s on Superior Street in Alma for Pizza and fun prizes!

Register at either one of two locations:

1.  Riverside Park in the City of Alma, located on State Street and Ely Street, next to the Pine River

near the playground equipment

2.  Leppien Park in City of St. Louis, located on M-46 next to the Pine River, off Devon Drive

On October 15, 2005, Volunteers collected over a ton and a half of trash from the Pine River and other areas, including a large submerged TV set, countless plastic toys, and “disposable” items like empty beverage containers and fast-food containers, furniture, bike parts, automobile fluids, and many other trash items.
