E-M:/ Michigan is not Number One

Enviro-Mich message from Gary Stock <gstock@net-link.net>

Friday's "another-glass-may-be-closer-to-empty" encouragement:

If you ever worry that Michigan harbors the most ignorant, greedy, and
self-destructive landowners in America, fear not.

There is North Carolina.

BOILING SPRING LAKES, N.C. - What's black and white and dreaded
all over? In this booming coastal town, it's the tiny red-cockaded
   woodpecker.

During the past six months, ugly, stump-riddled gashes have
appeared throughout the lush longleaf pine stands here as
worried landowners clear cut thousands of trees to prevent
them becoming homes for the endangered bird...

I know, there are other candidates, too -- Montana, Idaho, Texas...

Although Michigan may be off the charts, it may not be the worst!

The best proof for a claim that terrorists are crazy or evil
would be to acknowledge that the White House is full of them
