Award-winning environmental reporter Jeff Alexander of the Muskegon Chronicle will be signing copies of his new book on the history and fate of the Muskegon River later this month and next. The book is now available in Michigan bookstores. Here are the scheduled events:

Friday, Oct. 27, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Bookman, 715 Washington, in Grand Haven.

Saturday, Nov. 11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Norton Shores (near Muskegon).
