New Book Chronicles Michigan's State Forest History

Former DNR Director and forester Mike Moore and former career DNR forestry supervisor Bill Botti have co-authored an excellent new book on the history of Michigan's state forests, the largest dedicated state forest system in the country.

Mike and Bill detail the complete history of Michigan public forestry since the mid-1800s and tell interesting stories about some of the personalities and events in that history. It's an important contribution to Michigan's environmental and conservation history and a "must" for anyone working on state forest issues.
