Lake Huron Tansy to Death-camus:
Ellen Elliott Weatherbee Explains the Wonderful and Wild Plants of the Coastal Great Lakes
Wednesday, March 21, 2007, 5:00 - 7:00 PM
Location: University of Michigan, School of Natural Resources, Dana Building
440 Church Street, Ann Arbor, MI
Fourth Floor Commons (Rooms 4315 and 4325)
If you are a naturalist, budding botanist or have an interest in learning about coastal plants, please join us for this presentation. Ellen Elliott Weatherbee will present selected slides and provide information about some of the most common plants found on the U.S. and Canadian shores of the Great Lakes.
The author of ?Guide to Great Lakes Coastal Plants,? Weatherbee developed the definitive book for identifying the rich diversity of both flowering and non-flowering plants of the Great Lakes coastal areas.
The Guide, published by the University of Michigan (UM) Press, in collaboration with Michigan Sea Grant, is the first in a series about the Great Lakes coasts.
This event, co-sponsored by Michigan Sea Grant and the UM Press, is free and open to the public.
Please distribute the attached information. If you cannot attend the event but are interested in reading ?Guide to Great Lakes Coastal Plants,? see <http://www.miseagrant.com>http://www.miseagrant.com or <http://www.press.umich.edu>http://www.press.umich.edu
