Are you interested in learning about Timber Sales, Forest Stewardship
Plans, and Managing Your Woodlots for White Tail Deer? If so please
join area residents in attending the Clinton Conservation District's
2007 Forestry Club Meeting.
What: 2007 Forestry Club Meeting
When: March 13, 2007 6:30 PM.- 8:30 PM,
Where: Clinton County RESA Building in the South Point Mall, 1013
South US 127, St. Johns, MI 48879 (across from McDonalds)
Issues to be discussed will include:
Timber Sales--Guinevere Barr, Clinton County District Forester, will be
presenting information on different ways to conduct a timber sale while
protecting your assets.
Forest Stewardship--Debra Huff, Forest Stewardship Coordinator for
Michigan DNR will provide information about how and why to get a Forest
Stewardship Plan for your woodlot, and what to do with the plan once you
have it.
Deer Habitat--Doug Reeves from Michigan DNR will be discussing how to
better manage your woodlots for deer habitat.
