Granholm, Citizens to Talk About Michigan’s Future in Series of Televised Town Halls

LANSING – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today announced that she will hold a series of town hall meetings with citizens to discuss Michigan’s future.  Television stations in five communities will feature live broadcasts of the meetings.  Michigan is currently facing unprecedented economic challenges, and the governor wants to hear from citizens about how best to move Michigan forward and make Michigan a great place to live, learn, and earn.

“Together we must choose the path Michigan will take to ensure that Michigan is a great place to live, learn, and earn in the future,” Granholm said.  “Michigan citizens are a critical part of the process of deciding how we’ll revitalize Michigan today and ensuring that our kids have an opportunity to build a great life here tomorrow.  These town hall meetings will provide an opportunity for those who will be most affected to share their ideas on Michigan’s future.”
