As part of the ongoing UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development Speaker Series, Michigan State University is pleased to announce the visit of Dr. Debra Rowe on Wednesday March 14th, at 7:30p.m. in 105 S. Kedzie Hall. Dr. Rowe will address

 "Creating a Sustainable Future: What Every Educator and Student Needs to Know".

Dr. Rowe is one of the leading educators for sustainability in the U.S.. She is the Higher Education Co-Chair and President of the U.S. Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development www.uspartnership.org , Senior Fellow at the Association of University Leaders for a Sustainable Future www.ulsf.org , National Coordinator of the Higher Education Associations Sustainability Consortium www.heasc.net , and Senior Advisory Councilor for the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education www.aashe.org . Dr. Rowe has been a compelling voice is steering higher education towards sustainability, building coalitions across disciplines and university functions, integrating sustainability into mission, curricula, student life, operations and community partnerships.   Dr. Rowe is a professor of Renewable Energy Technologies and Behavioral Sciences and she has developed curriculum for renewable energy and sustainability used across the country. Her Ph.D. is in Business and her two Masters degrees (business and psychology) are from the University of Michigan. Debra's B.A. is from Yale University.
