Enviro-Mich message from "Dave Poulson" <poulson@msu.edu>

   Marc Kaufman, a Washington Post reporter specializing in science and
health, is speaking at 3:30 p.m. today at Michigan State University.
  Kaufman has reported intensively on such topics as agricultural
biotechnology, the Food and Drug Administration, the neuroscience of
emotions, genetically-modified fish and insects.
  He has worked on numerous investigative projects and covered the war in
Afghanistan during a 25-year career in journalism. He has traveled
extensively through Asia and served as a bureau chief in New Delhi, India.
  His topic today is "Reporting on Science, Health, Nature and War in George
W. Bush's Washington."
   The lecture, which is open to the public, is in room 145 of MSU's
Communication Arts and Sciences Building. A pizza & pop reception is at 5
p.m. in room 382.
  The lecture is sponsored by Michigan State University's Knight Center for
Environmental Journalism.
