Video Challenge
Voting!
Save The Wild UP
invites EVERYONE
to vote in the
Video Challenge Finals.
Twelve video entries,
submitted via
YouTube, will be whittled down to the finalists by our panel of
judges over the weekend. All of the videos illustrated the integral part
that water plays in our beautiful region. Andy McFarlane, web consultant
to Save the Wild UP, launched the Video Challenge because of the unique
opportunity to engage people far and wide in the effort to protect
Michigan?s rivers, streams, and lakes.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the online voting that will
identify a grand prize winner, as well as first and second place
finishers, from the field of finalists.
Online voting
will commence June 4 through June
14.
Remember, you can
vote as many times as you like!
Winners will be
announced on June 16
at
The Water
Festival in
Grand Rapids, Michigan.
As if the $2,500 cash prize
isn?t enough, the grand prize winner will also enjoy a two-night,
three-day stay at a lakeside retreat with all the amenities, including
canoes, kayaks, and fishing gear. A guided hike, dinner at the
Thunder Bay Inn, and a logger?s breakfast at the Big Bay Corner store
are also included.
Winning videos may also be used on a variety of websites and in other
media, according to McFarlane, who says that the lure of the unknown is
what makes this Video Challenge especially exciting.
Thank you to all the participants for sharing their thoughts, passion and
wonderful videos. Good Luck!
