Oxford, MI - On Saturday, June 16, from 1- 4 pm, Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center is hosting a seminar: DO-IT-YOURSELF HOME ENERGY AUDITS with Matt Rosendaul
Why wait for the shock of high A/C and heating bills? Early summer is a great time to assess your home for energy efficiency. This seminar will help you to identify areas in your home where you can make simple improvements to find dramatic energy savings. You will learn how to conduct your own basic energy audit and compare the payback of various improvements. This workshop is perfect if you want to save money, reduce your carbon emissions, increase the value of your home, or install an alternative energy system.
Matt Rosendaul is an energy professional in central Michigan. His business, Peaceful Existence, LLC, conducts energy audits for existing homes and energy ratings for new Energy Star homes. He is also an adjunct professor at Lansing Community College.
The seminar will include a free Energy Tour of Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center, a Michigan Energy Demonstration Center.
Upland Hills Ecological Awareness Center is a non-profit organization that provides experiences that teach and promote healthy and sustainable relationship with the natural world and each other. The Center facility is a model of energy-efficiency, ecological design and renewable energy applications including wind & solar electricity and a living 'green' roof.
