Citizens, Lawmakers, and Auto Industry Insiders Say –

“Now is the time for clean energy policy!”

WHAT:           Senator Jim Barcia and Representative Terry Brown will highlight the urgency and need for action by the legislature on clean energy along with the strong bi-partisan support that currently exists - with over 55 lawmakers in Lansing co-sponsoring bills.  They will also discuss benefits from renewable energy development to their districts and to the state.

Frank Zaski, a retired Chrysler executive, will present a petition with over 300 auto industry and UAW members who want lawmakers to harness our state’s manufacturing strengths and develop a clean energy industry in Michigan.

Environment Michigan will show the overwhelming public support for clean energy by delivering over 5,000 public comments supporting renewable energy and energy efficiency policies to Speaker Dillon – as the first results of conversations with over 75,000 Michiganders about clean energy this summer.
