Michiganders to Lawmakers: “The time for strong clean energy policy is now!”

12,000 public comments will be delivered to Senator Patterson and other lawmakers

 

What:              Join Environment Michigan’s citizen outreach staff and coalition partners as we call on the Michigan legislature to take strong action on clean energy policy by delivering over 12,000 public comments to Senator Patterson and other key legislation while standing in front of a representative display of 200 wind turbines.  These turbines would provide over 1000 jobs and 400 MW of power, which is more than enough for every household in Ingham County.

Visuals:           200 pinwheels arranged in the shape of a wind turbine on the Capitol Lawn, representing over 2000 jobs and enough electricity for every household in Ingham County if 200 real wind turbines are erected.  Thousands of postcards about to be delivered.
