E-M:/ Podcast of 8/3/07 DTE GreenCurrents discussion.

Greetings,

If you missed Friday's broadcast discussion on WDET of the
DTE GreenCurrents program, you can listen to it here:

http://www.wdetfm.org/rss/archives/listen.php?show=1&date=1186113600

It takes a minute or two to get through the introductory news section.

Interesting discussion, especially the approach that Austin, Texas
is taking to develop renewables. Also of note is the fact that in
Austin, everything is recycled, including demolished buildings.

Regards,

Lowell Prag

Recently, DTE initiated a GreenCurrents program in which consumers
can purchase renewable energy credits. But, according to the Ecology
Center?s Clean Energy Program Director David Wright, the program will
do little to promote renewable energy in Michigan and will result in
missed economic opportunities for the state and consumers.

Tomorrow, you can listen to David Wright and DTE?s Len Singer discuss
and debate the shortfalls of the GreenCurrents program live on WDET?s
Detroit Today radio program.
