Today, Aug. 29, around 11:15 a.m., Kevin Kamps, a
board member of Don't Waste Michigan,
Kalamazoo chapter, working now at Beyond Nuclear in Takoma Park, Maryland
will be interviewed on WDET's (Detroit National Public Radio)
"DetroitToday" about the earthquake risks to the high-level
radioactive wastes stored on the Lake Michigan shoreline at Palisades.
They may also have a spokesperson from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory
Commission (NRC), so it promises to be a lively debate!
So if you're in metro Detroit, listen in to 101.9 FM, or listen via the
internet at http://www.wdet.org/
To learn more about the lawsuit against the NRC for failing to enforce
its earthquake safety regulations at Palisades, see recent postings at
http://www.nirs.org/reactorwatch/licensing/palisades.htm
