This seminar is designed for tax and real estate attorneys, appraisers, and financial advisers to address opportunities to use tax incentives to protect private land. The following topics will be covered:
· New tax incentives for land conservation passed in 2006
· Changes in estate tax law
· IRS rules for appraisals
· Section 2031(c) “exclusion” and post-mortem easements
· Succession planning for family lands.
