Plugging the Leaks: Energy Conservation and Efficiency - Opportunities Knock!

On Friday, November 16th at the Eberhard Center in Grand Rapids, there will be a statewide energy conservation and efficiency conference looking to build and strengthen networks of collaboration between higher education, state and local government, business and civil society, and to reduce our energy footprint. Keynote speakers include Dr. Marty Kushler, American Council on Energy Efficient Economy and Paul Meierdierck, co-chair Energy Committee of the New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability. And Energy Manager at the Universities of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

This event is sponsored by the Michigan Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability (MiHEPS), the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, and the State Energy Office. Planning members come from all of the above as well as Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University, Calvin College, Grand Rapids Community College, Aquinas College. Marygrove, Western Michigan University, Oakland Community College, Oakland University, and the University of Michigan. And Henry Ford Community College.
