SURFACE USE LEASE FOR METALLIC MINERAL MINING FACILITY: The DNR is reviewing the request of
Kennecott Eagle Minerals Corporation for a metallic mineral mining surface
facility. Most of the proposed mining operations are located on a 120-acre
parcel of state forest land in the Gwinn Management Unit described as the N ½ of
the NW ¼ of Section 12 and the SW ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 12, T50N, R29W,
