E-M:/ Concert in Marquette - sulfide mining awareness

SASM (Students Against Sulfide Mining) is having a benefit concert this Friday night in Marquette to raise awareness of the continued threat of sulfide mining on the Yellow Dog Plains.

During the course of the evening four bands will play:
The Blue Superiors,
Grass Monkey,
Lost Creek
and Superior Beats.

We will also hear from Chauncey Moran and Cynthia Pryor. With help from Big Bay Outfitters in Big Bay, SASM wil be raffling off nearly $2,000 in
prizes. The Grand prize it a 17' Nova Craft canoe valued at over $1300. Other prizes include a pair of Crescent Moon snowshoes and an Eagle Nest
Outfitter Hanging Lounge along with local gift certificates and outdoor gear. Tickets for the canoe raffle are $5 each, entires for the other
raffle at $1 each, buy your tickets at the show. This is all going down at the Ramada Inn on Washington Street in Marquette. The fun The music
starts at 7:15 and goes until midnight. Those 21 and over can enjoy the cash bar and everyone can enjoy free appetizers. Hope to see you all
