Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund are
seeking an
experienced grassroots advocate with an interest or background in
global
warming policy to play a lead role as our Clean Energy Coordinator in
the fight
against seven new proposed dirty coal plants in the state.
On behalf of the organization’s more than
200,000 ·
Work with local groups,
organizational partners,
volunteer leaders, citizen advocates and Clean Water Action staff and
members to
develop and implement winning campaign strategies in support of
renewable
energy, energy efficiency and in opposition to polluting coal plants
that
contribute to global warming and climate change. · Strengthen Clean Water Action’s activist base through citizen advocacy programs · Develop and implement a robust online advocacy program in support of Clean Water Action’s policy goals ·
Be the organization’s lead · Assist with efforts to publicize key issues in the media · Other tasks as assigned · Strong teamwork and ability to work with diverse people and community groups · Well-organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently · Sound judgment and good habits of consulting with supervisor and others · Successful professional or volunteer campaign experience · Professional work experience or equivalent academic qualifications in the area of energy policy · Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills, including experience in preparing and delivering public presentations ·
Proficiency with database programs
and
technologies ·
Familiarity or willingness to
undertaken cutting
