Long time activist, Democrat, environmental attorney and Macomb County
assistant prosecutor on water/environmental cases to run for
the Michigan House of Representatives....   

As someone who worked with Mark during his time as a Board Member at the American Lung Association
of Michigan and during the Detroit Incinerator fight, I can assure you
that Mark will be a splendid advocate for the environment and conservation

Dear Family, Colleagues, and Friends:
 
As many of you know, I have decided to seek the Democratic Party nomination for state representative from the 27th Michigan House District.  The 27th District includes the southeast Oakland County communities of Berkley (where I live) Ferndale, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Oak Park, and Pleasant Ridge.
 
I am writing to let you know that I am hosting a campaign kick-off event on Monday, January 14 beginning at 6:30 PM at Sila's Restaurant in Berkley.  Sila's is located on the south side of 12 Mile Road just east of the intersection with Greenfield.  You are all invited to attend.  Food and beverages will be served with my compliments.  There is no admission charge (but contributions will gladly be accepted!)  I sure hope to see many of you there.
 
Please be sure to check out my new campaign website:  www.richardsonforstatehouse.com  You will find that the site is a work in progress.  There are many things that need to be added (my picture is being added as this is written, for example).  But it will be interesting to see the site develop as the campaign goes forward and, in that regard, your input will be very important.  There are features allowing you to ask questions, submit comments, make donations, volunteer, and to obtain campaign updates if you would like to have them.
 
We are at an important turning point in our state's history.  I have the background and experience to help lead Michigan forward again.  But I can't do that without your help.  So I hope you will support me.  I am deeply grateful for the friendship and support so many of you have given me in the past.
