Town Hall on Water Withdrawal and Export:

Citizens Say:  We Decide Where Our Great Lakes Waters Go!

Local environmental activist Kathy Evans asked Van Woerkom what it would take to get him to drop his opposition to giving groundwater the same level of public trust protection that surface waters already enjoy under Michigan law.

After a long pause, Van Woerkom said: "I don't have an answer for that. I'm not a bonehead."
