Survey: Michiganders Support Alternative Energy

A new Michigan State University survey finds state residents are very supportive of expanding Michigan's alternative energy choices.

But the same survey also shows Michiganders are still concerned about the cost of wind, solar and other renewable energy sources.

Dr. Mark Wilson says his survey shows an opportunity for state lawmakers to lead.

"Michigan residents are looking for leadership and action. This is an excellent time for policy makers to act. To build on the public momentum for this type of change," says Wilson.

The MSU survey is based on interviews with about a thousand Michigan residents
